Interacting with Key themes:
In the pictures below you'll see a collection of key themes, summarised from each of the collections of case studies and reports. Clicking on the 'I' beside each theme will reveal a small description of the theme, and might lead you to building out your initial expectations of what could be included, or you might start to think about connecting up a couple of different ones that could amalgamate into a bigger (possibly college wide or sector wide) project.
Where next?
To start to change ideas into action, we need to explore potential and build up our ideas to start to discuss these with people who can help make things happen. You might be thinking about different ways of buidling the themes into your curriculum, your course activities or different ways of implementing them through systems, policies are directives for the wider college. To get you going, here are some things you might want to consider thinking about:
- What activity are you currently doing that could either be complimented by or further developed by exploring it's potential in connection with the key themes? Brainstorm all the different ideas/ opportunities.
- Take one of the themes that you've never thought possible to undertake. Brainstorm your current activities/ projects and future ones too looking for possible links or connections with the chosen theme; it might be that you surprise yourself to find out that there's more opportunity than you first realised.
- Things may have come up wthin the key themes that you want to do further research on, to have a better grounding in them before you start developing your ideas. We say - go for it! Scout about on search engines for examples of colleges (locally, nationally and globally) that may have implemented projects around a similar theme. This will give you different perspectives and maybe also different contacts to get in touch with to discuss your ideas.
